Bosc pear | 9.55 oz | 271 g | 1 1/2 pears |
mint | 0.15 oz | 4 g | 5 mint leaves |
cayenne | 0.0125 oz | 0.4 g | a small pinch |
Directions
-
Wash produce thoroughly.
-
Peel the grapefruit and pick the mint from the stems.
-
Weigh out the ingredients.
-
Juice the peeled grapefruit, white bulb of the fennel, pear and mint.
-
Add the cayenne pepper to the serving container and pour juice on top.
Pro tips
-
If the mint stems are green and soft you can juice those as well.
-
Grapefruit peels have a bitter flavor, so be sure to remove them before juicing.
-
Juice only the white bulb of the fennel for the best color. If you are not concerned about color, you can juice the green fronds as well.
-
Want to take your presentation up a notch? Garnish with a mint leaf, fennel fronds, or grapefruit slice!
-
We recommend using red grapefruit or pink grapefruit. In a pinch, however, you can use other types (like white or ruby grapefruit).
-
If you want a little added kick and/or if you want more detoxing properties in the final juice, try adding fresh ginger.
