Spicy Pineapple Green Juice
Prepare your taste buds for this refreshingly spicy, yet delicate green juice -- a playful twist on the classic flavor pairing of pineapple and mint.
Ingredients
pineapple | 19.5 oz | 553 g | 4 cups of chunks (a bit less than 1/2 of a whole pineapple) |
serrano chili | 0.15 oz | 4 g | A bit less than 1 pepper |
spinach | 0.7 oz | 20 g | 3/4 cup of spinach |
mint | 0.15 oz | 4 g | 4 mint leaves |
Directions
-
Wash and weigh the produce.
-
Prepare the pineapple by removing the green crown and cutting into pieces small enough to fit into the grinder. Leave the skin on if you have a juice press.
-
Juice all ingredients together.
Pro tips
-
You can remove the Serrano chili pepper seeds for a milder flavor or keep them in for added heat. Spicy jalapeño peppers are a milder alternative to Serranos that may be easier to find at your local grocery.
-
If the mint stems are green and soft you can juice those as well.
-
Pineapple is high on the mushy spectrum, so take care not to overfill the press to avoid overflow.
