Apple Lemon Ginger Juice Cleanse Starter Recipe
Start your day (or cleanse) the right way with this energizing recipe of apple, lemon, ginger and cayenne pepper.
Ingredients
red apple | 16 oz | 454 g | 2 1/4 medium apple |
lemon | 1.79 oz | 51 g | 1/2 medium lemon |
ginger | 0.18 oz | 5 g | 1/2 inch chunk of ginger |
cayenne (ground) | 1 pinch |
Directions

Wash the produce.

Weigh ingredients.

Peel the lemon. The skin imparts a bitter flavor if left on.

Juice the ingredients together.

Add a large pinch of cayenne pepper.

Peeling the lemon is a matter of preference. We like to “skip peel” them, which is basically just roughly cutting off the peel, leaving some behind. This speeds up prep, and the little bit of peel adds a zest!
