Jamu Juice (Ginger Turmeric Drink)
Jamu Juice is a potent medicinal tonic that originated in Bali and is known for its anti-inflammatory and viral infection fighting properties.
Ingredients
ginger | 2.25 oz | 64 g | 7 1/3 inches of ginger root |
turmeric root | 1.68 oz | 48 g | 5 2/3 inches of turmeric root |
lime | 4.7 oz | 133 g | 2 3/4 limes |
honey | 0.5 oz | 14 g | 1 tablespoon |
coconut water | 7 oz | 198 g | A bit less than 1 cup of coconut water |
Directions

Wash the produce thoroughly.

Cut the lime (leaving skin on) and place directly into the press. If you don’t have a juice press, peel the lime and juice with the rest of the ingredients.

Grind remaining ingredients together and press.

Mix in the coconut water and honey.

Can’t find fresh turmeric? You can sub ground turmeric (although fresh is definitely recommended)! For every 1 ounce of turmeric root, use 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder.
