Green Bloody Mary Recipe
This green Bloody Mary recipe doesn't include any pre-made mixes with ingredients you can't pronounce. Just whole foods, coming together in a delicious, cold-pressed cocktail.
Ingredients
kale | 5.5 oz | 156 g | 2 1/2 cups chopped kale |
cucumber | 5.5 oz | 156 g | 2/3 cucumber |
green apple | 4.4 oz | 125 g | 2/3 medium apple |
celery | 1.8 oz | 51 g | 1 1/3 medium stalks |
lemon | 0.9 oz | 26 g | 1/4 medium lemon |
ginger | 0.33 oz | 9 g | 1 inch ginger |
horseradish root (fresh) | 0.3 oz | 9 g | 2/3 tablespoon |
vodka | 1.5 oz | 43 g | one shot |
hot sauce | to taste | ||
salt | to taste | ||
cracked black pepper | to taste |
Directions

Wash and weigh all produce.

Cut the lemon into quarters and place directly into the press. If your juicer is not a press, peel the lemon and juice with the rest of the produce.

Grind and press all remaining produce.

Add hot sauce, salt, and pepper to taste.

Coat rim of glass with a lemon and dip in salt, garnish with celery, cucumber, and lemon wheel (optional).

Serve over ice.

Are you not a fan of hot sauce? Substitute jalapeno!

You may prefer celery salt instead of salt or lime juice instead of lemon juice. Experiment to your heart’s content!
