Green Juice Shot with Kale, Lemon, Ginger, Turmeric, Cucumber, Spirulina
Nutritious, bright, and loaded with most of the vitamins and minerals you need in a day, this green juice is best when taken as a daily shot.
Ingredients
kale | 4.4 oz | 125 g | 2 cups chopped kale (124 grams) |
lemon | 1.92 oz | 54 g | 1/2 large lemon |
ginger | 0.86 oz | 24 g | 2 1/2 inch chunk ginger root |
turmeric | 0.33 oz | 9 g | 1 inch chunk of turmeric root |
cucumber | 12 oz | 340 g | 1 1/2 cucumbers |
spirulina (green or blue) | 0.05 oz | 1 g | 1/3 teaspoon (1.4 grams) |
Directions

Wash and weigh the produce.

Quarter the lemon (leaving skin on) and place directly into the press. If you don’t have a juice press, peel the lemon and juice with the rest of the ingredients.

Grind remaining produce together and press.

Add the spirulina to a bowl, slowly pour some juice into the bowl (to avoid clumping) and whisk. Combine mixture with the remainder of the juice.
