Pineapple Ginger Spinach Juice with Pear & Daikon
Pineapple and pear star in this crisp juice recipe, but the inclusion of ginger and daikon make for Asian-inspired deliciousness.
Ingredients
pineapple | 9 oz | 255 g | 1/3 pineapple |
pear | 3.5 oz | 99 g | 1/2 medium pear |
spinach | 1 oz | 28 g | 1 cup |
daikon radish | 7.25 oz | 206 g | 1/3 radish |
ginger | 0.7 oz | 20 g | 2 1/3 inches ginger |
cilantro | 0.3 oz | 9 g | 4 sprigs |
serrano chilies | 0.15 oz | 4 g | 1/2 pepper |
Directions
-
Wash all produce (make sure all of the dirt is removed from the daikon radish).
-
Remove the green crown from the pineapple and cut, separating into thirds. If using a juice press, leave the skin on the pineapple.
-
Juice all ingredients together.
Pro tips
-
When putting the produce into the juicer, it is best to use a mix of greens and the softer fruits like pineapple. The greens grind better this way and the end result is more juice.
-
Leave 2 or 3 chunks of pear for the very end, as pears do a good job at cleaning the grinder and pushing any bits of mint or pineapple through that didn’t make it through.
-
Cilantro tastes like “soapy dimes” to a small percentage of people, so be sure to leave that out if you or someone your serving falls into that group.
-
Remove the green crown, but leave the skin on the pineapple if using a Goodnature juice press. It contains a high concentration of valuable nutrients.
