CT7 FAQ
Get answers to the most frequently asked questions about the Goodnature CT7. What is the output of the CT7? Depending on recipe and workflow, you can produce 4-9 gallons per hour of cold-pressed juice or nut milks. Produce like apples or cucumber will produce more juice than something like kale or spinach. Will it work in my country? We can manufacture the CT7 to work on the electrical specs for almost any country. How much does the CT7 weigh? About 75 lbs Do I need any other equipment in order to make juice? You must cut the fruit and vegetables in a commercial food processor prior to pressing in the CT7. We recommend using the Sammic CKE-8 or the Robot Coupe Blixer 6v. How do I clean the bags? The bags are single use, compostable press bags (similar to a coffee filter), so you don’t need to clean them. You simply dispose of the bag after use. Is the CT7 hard to clean? The CT7 is the easiest to clean juicer available, since all of the parts that touch the juice can be simply lifted out and carried to a sink or dishwasher. See our videos for more information. What are the electrical specs? The US versions run on 110v, 60Hz, single phase, and the international versions vary depending on the region. What type of electrical plug comes on the machine? Our US version come with a standard 110v plug, and the international versions vary by region. Is the CT7 dangerous to operate? The CT7 is the safest commercial juice press to operate since it has a safety lid over the press.
Bolts That Hold on the Lid Have Become Loose
Due to vibrations for the machine, there are 4 bolts that may come loose over time. To prevent any issues, we recommend the following maintenance: Remove the clear juicer lid. Locate the four bolts that hold the lid in place. Using a flat-head screwdriver, tighten the bolts until snug. Repeat every 2 weeks or as needed to prevent the bolts from becoming loose. Images: OPTIONAL (recommended) – Apply LOCTITE adhesive to the threads of the bolts before tightening, which will help prevent the bolts from becoming loose in the future. If you apply LOCTITE to the bolts, you may not have to perform the above maintenance more than once. LOCTITE can be purchased at many retailers, including Home Depot. Assemble the CT7 Press Chamber Guide and Video
Watch the video for an overview of setting up your CT7 press chamber and follow the guide below for step-by-step general instruction. Start assembly with the Pressing Chamber front plate as the base to which the other plates are added. Take the Chamber Face, align the mating dovetail and groove then slide the Chamber Side (Left) as shown. The plate slides upward in the groove until it stops. The Chamber Side (Right) mates in a similar fashion but slides in a downward direction until it stops. With the juice grooves facing upwards and the tabs pointing toward the Chamber Face and slide the Chamber Bottom until the Lock Tabs fully engage with the Chamber Face. If the Chamber Bottom isn’t fully slid into position, the pressing chamber will not properly fit into the machine. Washing and Sanitizing Press Bags
These procedures will guide you through the steps to washing and sanitizing your press bags for your Goodnature cold-press juicer. Applies to Goodnature juice presses that use reusable cloth press bags. PURPOSE: To prevent foodborne illness by ensuring that all food contact surfaces are properly cleaned and sanitized. Warning: Always follow regulations stated by local health services. When to wash, rinse, and sanitize press bags: After each use Any time contamination occurs or is suspected Every four (4) hours of constant use for all food contact surfaces Wash, rinse, and sanitize press bags using the following procedure: Wash bag with water and brush to remove all surface food particles Wash surface with detergent solution Rinse surface with clean water Sanitize surface using a sanitizing solution mixed at a concentration specified on the manufacturer’s label. Keep bags soaking in sanitizing solution overnight to assist with keeping bags white. Place wet items in a manner to allow air drying before use. We do not recommend machine drying as this can result in shrinking and will lessen the lifespan of the press bags. Pro Tip: If not using that often, store dry bags in a sealed container to avoid exposure to dust or build up. Then do a quick wash before use. Do not store damp bags in a sealed container – it will make it easier for bacteria to grow. If a 3-compartment sink is used, setup and use the sink in the following manner: In the first compartment, wash with a clean detergent solution at or above 110° F or at the temperature specified by the detergent manufacturer. In the second compartment, rinse with clean water. In the third compartment, sanitize with a sanitizing solution mixed at a concentration and contact time specified on the manufacturer’s label or by immersing in hot water at or above 171° F for 30 seconds. Test the chemical sanitizer concentration by using an appropriate test kit. If a dish machine is used: Check with the dish machine manufacturer to verify that the information on the data plate is correct. Refer to the information on the data plate for determining wash, rinse, and sanitizing (final) rinse temperatures; sanitizing solution concentrations; and water pressures, if applicable. Follow manufacturer’s instructions for use. Ensure that food contact surfaces reach a surface temperature of 165° F or above if using hot water to sanitize.
